The spring snowstorms in Colorado have not only added to the snowpack necessary for summer water, but have also given spring skiers some great conditions.

The snow put a nice layer of spring powder on a decent base for may areas and has groomed trails a little less icy in the morning and a little less soft in the afternoon.

Even the additional six inches of snow Powderhorn received recently will only give the area one more week for people to enjoy as the resort's last day for the 2015-2016 season will be Sunday (April 3).

For those who aren't quite ready to pack the boards away for the season, several areas in the plan on staying open as far into April as possible, conditions permitting.

For those of us who have spring fever, looking at ski resort snow depths has us dreaming of fishing, rafting, and other water activities that come when all that snow melts.
