Video of Jefferson County Police Detonating Suspected ‘Backpack Bomb’

A woman dropped a backpack in front of the Federal Center in Lakewood saying it contained a bomb. Watch as the Jefferson County police department detonate the backpack.

Authorities are saying a woman was arrested at the Federal Center in Lakewood, Colo. after she made the claim that the backpack she dropped contained a bomb.

The bomb squad was on scene around 1:30 p.m. (July 18) and detonated the backpack after investigating the situation.

Nearby buildings were notified of the incident and a construction project was cleared during the incident.

The woman was taken to the Lakewood Police Department where she was being questioned. Authorities located her car at a nearby Lowe's and found nothing suspicious.
