Wanna keep your yard & garden green this summer without spending too much green? Find out how here . . .

I decided to plant a garden this year and I'm bound and determine to keep it growing and my yard green this summer! But how do you do that without going into bankruptcy?!

Lucky me, my buddy Joe Burtard is the Public Information Officer at Ute Water and he's always got great ideas for me!

Their new "Join The Flock" campaign is encouraging people like me and you to adopt efficient use of our limited water resources.

You can “Join The Flock” by placing “Flo the Flamingo” in your front yard to demonstrate to your friends and neighbors that you give a flock! Meaning that we're committed to water conservation in Western Colorado. The Drought Response Information Project will be handing out hundreds of FREE flamingos and yard signs over the course of the summer.

Why "Flo the Flamingo"?

Well as you can know flamingos are not native to the Grand Valley…and neither is large water consuming landscape.

Flo Money Saving Tips Include:

  • “Skip A Mow” because taller grass needs less water
  • “Water At Dawn” before 10a to avoid evaporation
  • “Aim That Spray” to keep water on the grass

For more information call your local domestic water provider.
