It seems you can't go anywhere around western Colorado without seeing a sign, billboard TV commercial or hear a radio advertisement for the November election. With the election just over a month away, how likely are people in Colorado to vote?

According to CNN, a study done by Michael McDonald at George Mason University indicates voters in Colorado are some of the most active in the country. The survey found of the voting eligible population, 71 percent are likely to vote, putting Colorado in the top five states with the highest voter turnout.

The states most likely to vote include:

  • Minnesota 77.8%
  • Wisconsin 72.4%
  • New Hampshire 71.7%
  • Colorado 71%
  • Maine 70.6%

The report also show Hawaii (48.8%) the state with voters least likely to show up at the polls in November.

If you're eligible to vote in Colorado, but haven't registered, the Colorado Secretary of State has registration information. You can also go to your local election office to register.
