High Winds Could Hinder Air-Support for Fort Collins Wildfire
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Firefighters battling a blaze in the foothills west of Fort Collins are worried about high wind warnings that could restrict helicopter support.
A red flag warning that was posted today means there will also be low humidity, creating a severe fire danger.
Firefighters said the 1,300-acre Galena Fire was 85 percent contained late yesterday.
