Bicyclists and trail walkers beware! If you're planning a trip down certain sections of the Glenwood Canyon bike path, you'll need to bring your snorkel. The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed several sections due to high water.

Affected areas include sections between Shoshone and Hanging Lake rest area, and between Siloam Springs and Bair Ranch.

According to CDOT, waters are flowing at around 11,000 cubic feet per second. Crews from CDOT are monitoring the trails daily.

You can still access the trail from Glenwood Springs to the Grizzly Creek rest area. Other areas are still open, but CDOT anticipates they may become flooded soon.

So, what do you do if you're wanting to ride or walk the trails in those areas?  You can stay up to speed with updates via CDOT's web page, or you can track them via Twitter at @coloradodot or their Facebook page.
