The Hollies 1969 hit "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is one of the groups best known hits. But it only peaked in the top 10 on the American Billboard charts.  Now, a new version by The Justice Collective, an all-star group featuring Paul McCartney, has reached number one on the UK Christmas charts. This isn't the first time a McCartney project has topped the chart, though.According to Britain's Official Charts Company, this is the eighth #1 U.K. Christmas single McCartney has participated in. The other seven include four with The Beatles, one with his group Wings and one each with the Band Aid and Band Aid 20 projects.

Even more impressive is the fact that all of the artists involved in the project donated their time and talent for this charity recording.

The song can be purchased  from iTunes or Amazon.
