The naked mole rat is making regular appearances in Grand Junction.

The best place to spot the naked mole rat is on the campus of Colorado Mesa University, though some locals have spotted him on the internet. Personally, I probably wouldn't know a naked mole rat if I saw one.

The naked mole rat's name is Wilbur and he actually loves clothing. In fact, Wilbur loves clothes so much he dares to be different and has a tremendous impact on the community with some wonderful messages of individualism and courage.

This, of course, is the story of the Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, now playing at Robinson Theatre at CMU. The musical theatre production is based on the children's book by Mo Willems, combining the quirky humor of Willems with positive messages. It's being called "a musical for kids that grownups will love."

The Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed is being presented live on-stage to a socially distanced audience in the theatre as well via digital stream online. Tickets cost $22 for the theatre performance and $10 for a digital screening. You can catch the presentation this weekend and next weekend at Robinson Theatre.

This sounds like an amusing performance so if you are clamoring to get out of the house and enjoy some entertainment, the Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed might make for a really fun date night. Knowing the reputation of CMU's Department of Theatre Arts, the production should be high quality.
