Gruesome Sight – Lindsey Vonn’s Injured Legs

Eight days ago, Colorado skier Lindsey Vonn was airlifted to a hospital after a wipe out on the slopes. It looked bad - and it was. Now, Vonn is giving us a glimpse of her injuries. Vonn tweeted pictures of her injured legs, and also posted them on Facebook. All we can say is "ouch!"

Vonn was completing the Super- G when she crashed, leaving her with two torn ACL and MCL ligaments. and a broken bone. Doctors say her recovery could take eight months, and she is planning to be back on the slopes in time to compete at the 2014  Winter Olympics in Sochi. However, she is hoping to be able to compete at the World Cup speed races in later November or early December.

According to reports, following the surgery Vonn was flown back to her home in Vail, Colorado in Tiger Woods' private jet.
