Grand Junction’s North Avenue Partially Closed This Weekend

Utility work along North Avenue in Grand Junction will temporarily and partially close the busy street for part of the upcoming weekend. Weekend traffic in Grand Junction is normally pretty heavy with so many people out shopping and heading to various activities. This weekend could be a little more challenging, especially along North Avenue.

According to a release from the City of Grand Junction, west bound lanes on North Avenue between 12th and 7th will be close, with east bound North Avenue through the 7th Street intersection will be reduced to one lane. The diversion will start at 7pm today (May 9) and could last until 6am on Monday.

The release indicates a detour route will be in place, and there will be local access to businesses.

You can help yourself by choosing an alternate route if you need to travel in the affected area this weekend.
