Grand Junction may be four hours from Denver, but it seems that the Broncos' fan on the Western Slope are just as passionate about their team as the fans on the front range.

The thing about true fans is this - and this is true regardless of the sport, and regardless of whether it's professional, college, high school, whatever. True fans love and support their team through thick and thin, through good times and bad, through the ups and the downs, the wins and the losses, the triumphs and the bitter, disappointing defeats.

When your team does happen to make to the championship game, it's special. It's tough to get there - and it's even tougher to win it.

My message to Broncos' fans is this. Don't focus so much on the destination that you don't enjoy and appreciate the journey. Reaching your goal and  your destination is a wonderful feeling, but the real joy comes from everything you went through to get there. With that frame of mind, you can still find peace and satisfaction even if you don't finish on top.

Having said that......let's go kick some Seattle booty!!

Here's a look at some of the local Denver Broncos' pride.
