Get Fit This Year With a Furry Fitness Buddy
Whether getting more fit was your New Years resolution or not, face it, most people would like to be in better shape than they are right now. The problem is, you may not always have a fitness buddy available, until now.
This week's Roice-Hurst Humane Society Pets of the Week were selected for those who like to walk, jog, hike or just want to lead a more active lifestyle. These pets are part of the 'Get Fit in 18' program for both pets and their owners. Adopt one of these 'get fit' pets and you'll get 18% off of the adoption fee.
Chika is 4-years-old and is a Hurricane Harvey rescue. She's as sweet as can be and loves to cuddle. She also loves to get daily exercise, even if it's just a nice walk.
She's loves to meet new people and does well with most other dogs. Chika is currently in foster care so call Roice-Hurst to make an appointment to see her
Rasta is 3-years old and is a Hurricane Harvey rescue. He's crate trained and has some manners, but needs a refresher course and some additional training.
He's an active dog and is a great backyard playmate with children and will always take you up on an offer for a walk, jog or hike.
Rasta is in foster care, so call ahead to make an appointment to meet him.
Moe is a 6-month-old youngster who is very charming, but also shy until he gets to know you. He would do well in a quiet home.
He loves to be close and snuggle, so ask the staff at Roice-Hurst to show you the best way to walk Moe on a lead and what type of training is best for his age and breed.
