Grand Junction Parade of Lights Features Songs of the Season
The Grand Junction Bank of Colorado Parade of Lights is this Saturday, December 2 and will have the theme "Songs of the Season."
Based on the theme, I would expect that each float will highlight a particular Christmas song and find a way to portray it with lights. It will be interesting to see how many floats have Santa Claus related themes and how many floats highlight religious Christmas carols.
I love this year's parade theme, because I love Christmas music, and I love hearing it, and singing it. I'm looking forward to seeing the creativity in this year's parade in regards to our favorite holiday music.
The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. and will proceed from 9th Street down Main Street toward 3rd Street and should last a couple of hours.
By the way, starting at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, no parking is allowed on Main Street. Cars found on Main Street will be towed away. Feel free to park in one of the designated lots or the parking garage on Rood.
