Grand Junction J.C. Penney Store Will Remain Open

The Grand Junction J.C. Penney store will remain open when the company closes 40 stores nationwide over the next year.

The company announced the closure today, and according to Yahoo News, the closure represents about 4% of it's more than 1,000 stores, and will affect more than 2,000 workers.

But, the Grand junction J.C. Penney store, located at Mesa Mall, will not be affected. In fact, no stores in Colorado are on the list of targeted closures. Most of the stores being closed, however, are located inside of malls, and are expected to be shut down by the first week of April.
