On September 8 at approximately 12:20 a.m. a man broke into Hokulia Shave Ice located at 2570 American Way in Grand Junction.

This has to fall into the category of a stupid criminal story. What can a burglar expect to find other than shaved ice supplies?

Also, the business' security camera took some very good pictures including that of a large tattoo on the suspects neck. He could do some things to change his look, but short of wearing a turtleneck sweater, the tattoo is an identifying mark he's not easily rid of.

The really upsetting part is the shaved ice shack is owned and operated by Paul and Jennifer Daniels, a hard-working Grand Junction couple who have put in a lot of time, effort and money to build their small business.
