Grand Junction Community Food Bank Stocking Up
We here in the Grand Valley are supportive of those who are less fortunate. And never is that more evident than when it comes time to fill the Community Food Bank. That time is now.
The food bank, located at 562 West Crete Circle near Sam’s Club is getting ready for the colder months and the holiday seasons and as always are needing help from the community.
There are several ways you can show your support. Cash donations are always needed, as the location the food bank is in now costs more to rent.
The community food bank is always looking for volunteers as well to help pack, move, store and assist as needed. Honestly, the food bank could not exist without your help.
And that brings us to the current food drive. Our community is getting larger and so is the need. Over the next month and a half, we will be having donation events for you to bring your non-perishable foods as well as cash donations. Carville’s Auto Mart, will match donations up to $1,000.
At a time when there is so much negativity in the news, it’s heartwarming to know that this community will step up, as it always does, and make sure that no child, no adult, goes hungry this holiday season. Here is the list of events and places accepting donations.
