Gnome Commercial May Be Too Frightening

Who would have thought putting some new furniture in the back yard would cause a revolt from your garden gnomes?

According to the Huffington Post, the commercial which began airing on British television in April, has drawn several complaints from people calling it both offensive and violent.

In the article, Ikea's Peter Wright said this about the controversial ad.

The commercial was merely a "light-hearted" way of showing a family defying "the ultimate embodiment of everything that's tired and dreary about British gardens - the garden gnome."

Personally, while I think the concept is quite creative, it's a little too creepy for me. Not to mention that I kinda like garden gnomes. What do you think about this ad? You can post your comments below.
