We all love Girl Scout cookies with a cup of coffee or a cold glass of milk, but did you know these delicious cookies aren't just for dessert?

The  Cocktails and Cookie Creations fundraiser gives us an entirely new perspective on Girl Scout cookies. For this event, chefs from around the Grand Valley are asked to create savory appetizers using Girl Scout cookies. Each chef is assigned a specific kind of cookie, and then comes up with his or her own creation using the cookie as one of the ingredients.

What's cool about this event is that every year the creations are different, so you never know what to expect. If you attend this event, you'll never look at Girl Scout cookies the same way again.

Of course, the other aspect of this event is the award-winning Colorado wines that are featured to go along with the cookie creations.

It all takes place at Allen Unique Autos Museum on Friday, May 2nd beginning at 5:30. Tickets are $50 and are available at Crossroads Wine and Spirits, at the Girl Scouts office on 24 1/2 road, and on-line from the Girl Scouts Website. Proceeds will all benefit the Girl Scouts of Western Colorado.
