I recently had a chance to visit with Gin Blossoms lead singer Robin Wilson, just ahead of the band's return to Grand Junction and I wanted to share some of that conversation with you.

The Gin Blossoms are best known for the 90s hits Hey, Jealousy and Follow You Down, but the band is still making great music. They have a brand new album out, which Robin told me was pretty much "vintage Gin Blossoms." He said they didn't try to reinvent the band, shift gears and try something different, but did what comes naturally to them. He told me he feels this album is something the band might have done in 1989.

He's extremely pleased with the Gin Blossoms new album saying everybody gave top notch performances. The band was able to work with producer Don Dixon who has produced albums for the likes of Hootie and the Blowfish, R.E.M., and James McMurtry.

Listen to the interview to hear Robin talk about his family, his recreation passions, and his tacos.

It's been six years since Gin Blossoms came to Grand Junction and now they are back to do their hits as well as share some new music with their western Colorado fans. Gin Blossoms performs at the Amphitheater in Grand Junction, September 21.
