Gilligan’s Island’s Tina Louise Turns 80 [poll]

Actress Tina Louise, best known for playing Ginger Grant on the classic television series Gilligan's Island celebrates her 80th birthday today. (Feb.11) With only two surviving cast members remaining we just had to say happy birthday to Tina.

While Tina Louise may not be thrilled with the fact that she is best known for a completely silly show,  it's quite possible that if it weren't for Ginger Grant we wouldn't even care that she's celebrating her 80th birthday.

Tina's birth name is Tatiana Josivovna Chernova Blacker. No wonder she went with Tina Louise.

Of course, Tina Louise did not only do Gilligan's Island. She was in numerous movies and guest starred on many television shows, but she will go to her grave with the everlasting connection to Gilligan's Island.

The question has been asked countless times  - Ginger or Mary Ann?  Well, that question is just too broad - and what does it mean exactly? Is it 'who would you rather marry?' or is it 'which one would you rather go on a date with?' Ginger is more glamorous, but Mary Ann is cuter. Ginger has greater sex appeal, but Mary Ann is dripping with sweetness.
