We are on the verge of Spring, the golf bug has bitten, and the new golf app on my smartphone from the City of Grand Junction has me chomping at the bit to get out to Lincoln Park or Tiara Rado and get my golf season underway.

This has been one of the worst winters in my 11+ years in Grand Junction. The reason it has been so bad - snow that arrived before Thanksgiving and stayed until late January - and then MORE snow. I know I'm not the only golfer in town that can't wait to get out to the links.

While the ground was covered with snow this winter, the City of Grand Junction was launching a brand new golf app, which works for both Lincoln Park and Tiara Rado.

The new app has some great features like GPS yardage, course tips, interactive scorecard, round history, and tracking scoring stats.

One of the really cool features of the app is the ability to book tee times, and there is also Facebook sharing, which allows you to share that hole-in-one with the entire FB community IMMEDIATELY.

To download the app, just search 'Golf Grand Junction' in the play store.'

Android users can also get it from Google, and for Apple devices it's available on iTunes.

I can't wait to get out to the course and start hitting some balls, and give the City of Grand Junction's new golf app a good try.
