Sexual Assault is not going to go away. But being aware and prepared goes a long way.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Back To Health Wellness Center will be hosting a clothing swap and fundraiser to help raise funds for the victims of sexual assault.

Saturday, April 28 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. you can help Grand Junction's Latimer House by donating items for women. You can bring five articles of clothing to donate, as well as toiletry items such as razors and shampoo, conditioner, etc that are new and unused,  then choose five items for yourself that others have donated. Once the swapping has been completed, all remaining items will be donated to the Latimer House.

Money raised will also help purchase what is known as a "technical suit" which will be used to teach women intensive self-defense over a six-week course. Those attending can also win gift baskets by purchasing raffle tickets at the event.

If you are unable to attend this worthwhile event but would like to donate anyway, a Go fund me account has been set up so you can donate.

Come out Saturday, April 28, and show your support during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
