Fruita Man Arrested For Possession of Child Pornography

A year-long FBI investigation finally led to an arrest of Fruita resident for the possession and distribution of child pornography.

35-year-old Michael Prokop of Fruita, Colo. is being charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of sexual exploitation of a child with regards to possession of 20 or more items of child pornography.

The year-long investigation was a joint effort between the Fruita Police Department, the FBI and United States Marshals, which led to the arrest of Prokopy, who is facing over a dozen counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
