Grand Junction has the weekend off after winning against Durango last weekend.

The Warriors were still looking for the first win of the season and are hoping to get it against the 2-4 Demons with this game. The game was close at half time, with Central actually leading 13 to 0, in the second quarter before Durango scored twice making it 14 to 13 in Durango's favor. Central failed to score at all in the second half and lost 27 to 13. The game was broadcasted for a Saturday special of "Friday Night Lights" on 95.1 FM, and online at 95rockfm.com with the H&R pregame show starting at 12:30 PM.

The Palisade Bulldogs missed out on the rain by traveling to Steamboat Springs to take on the Sailors. The Bulldogs were trying to bounce back from the severe loss to Rifle last week. While it was not raining in SS, the temperatures were in the 40s. That did not freeze out the Bulldogs, they slid to and easy win of 52 to 7. Their conference record moves to 5-1.

The Delta Panthers hosted the winless Battle Mountain Huskies from Edwards. The Huskies were not  and issue for the Panthers, as Delta won easily 32 to 7.
