This week's Friday Night Lights game was a in valley rivalry as the Grand Junction Tigers were hosting the Fruita Monument Wildcats for the Tiger's Homecoming game. The Tigers were the favorites in this game, but the Wildcats were not listening to any of that. The Wildcats had a 93 yard Kick-off return for the second time this season and were in control after that to get their first conference win of the season. The Wildcats upset the Tiger's Homecoming with the final score of 20 to 14.

The Central Warriors are schedule to play the Dakota Ridge Eagles in Littleton on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. We will have the final score for you here as soon as we receive it.

The Palisade Bulldogs were on the road Friday night in Durango to battle with the 2-2 Demons for the Demon's Homecoming game.  Palisade came out strong to score 21 points in the first half, and went on to ruin Durango's Homecoming winning 28 to 13.

The Delta Panthers were are home this weekend to host the Glenwood Springs' Demons. It was a tough night the the Panthers, who lost the conference game by the score of  41 to 20.

The Montrose Indians were also at home this week, hosting the 3-1 Coyotes from Monarch High School in Louisville, CO. Montrose won last week's game 60 to nothing to set their record to 3-2. They are the favorite for this game, but it was not to be as the Coyotes came out on top with the final score being 28 to 12.

Next week will be a triple header for Friday Night Lights as  the Palisade Bulldogs will be celebrating their Homecoming Thursday night and looking for a big win over the undefeated and unstoppable Rifle Bears. The Bears have outscored their opponents 180 to 12 this season, and will be the biggest challenge for Palisade this year. On Friday night,  the Fruita Monument Wildcats will look to spoil another Homecoming, this time for the Central Warriors, and then on Saturday, the GJHS Tigers are under the lights to host the Durango Demons. It will be a fantastic weekend of high school football as all 4 District 51 Grand Valley teams will be in action at Stocker Stadium!
