Elton John celebrates his 67th birthday today, and we salute Elton  with our five favorite Elton John songs of all-time.

When it comes to Elton John fans, there are those that lean toward and prefer his early stuff, while others go more for the 80s and 90s Elton. I guess I'd have to say I have a leaning toward the later stuff.

Narrowing our list down to five is difficult at best, considering Elton's impressive record catalog which includes no less than 58 top 40 Billboard Hits, 27 top tens, and 9 #1 hits.

So for what it's worth, here's our top five. Take a listen and then vote in our poll - which Elton John decade is your favorite?

Something About the Way You Look Tonight

This was the flip side to Candle in the Wind 1997, and spent 10 weeks on top of the charts in late 1997 and early 1998. Elton was never known for a lot of romantic, lovey, dovey kinds of songs, but this is one of the best for all of the hopeless romantics out there.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me w/ George Michael

This song was great the first time around when it spent two weeks at #2 in 1974. But, the LIVE duet with George Michael was just off the charts! I never dreamed I would love a song featuring George Michael, but, guess what, I do -  and Elton is at his best!

Can You Feel the Love Tonight

The Lion  King was a great movie, but the soundtrack was totally awesome, and this particular Elton John composition came across so heartfelt and completely allowed Elton to showcase his vocal ability.

    Someone Saved My Life Tonight

Ok, so we have to have something from the 70s, and this has long been one of my  favorite Elton John songs. Like most of his compositions, I have very little understanding of what the song means, but it sounds cool, and I love the piano part.

    Candle in the Wind (1987)

This Elton John hit received new life when he re-worked it in 1997 as a tribute to Princess Diana, which was awesome. But, there's something about the original that just can't be topped. The piano and the vocals combine to make this one of his greatest hits of all-time.
