The 90s band Firehouse kicks off its 27th-anniversary tour on January 12 at Mesa Theater in Grand Junction.

In 1992, Firehouse received the AMA for Best New Hard Rock Heavy Metal Band. Just to put it into perspective, other AMA winners that year included Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Bryan Adams, Luther Vandross, and Boyz II Men as favorite new Soul/R & B artist.

Firehouse went on to have quite a decade.

  • 16 Gold and Platinum Albums
  • 7 Million Sales Worldwide
  • 2 Top 5 Hits
  • 4 Top 25 Hits
  • 7 Top 100 Hits

For being a hard rock band, it's somewhat ironic that their biggest hits were ballads. Their highest charting song was "Love of a Lifetime", reaching #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. "When I Look Into Your Eyes" was another top 10 ballad.

Other hits you might recognize are "All She Wrote", "Reach for the Sky", "Don't Treat Me Bad," and "I Live My Life For You."

C.J. Snare is the frontman and founding member of the band and still tours with Firehouse. Other original members still with the band include guitarist Bill Leverty, and drummer Michael Foster.

Tickets for the Firehouse concert in Grand Junction are available through the Mesa Theater website.
