An explosion Monday afternoon in the small southwest Colorado town of Rico killed a woman inside her home.

According to the Denver Post, a suspected propane leak caused the home to explode Monday afternoon at around 4:30PM.

Some 22 firefighters responded at the scene about 25 miles southwest of Telluride.
There was no fire, leading authorities to believe the explosion was caused by propane.

Authorities say the house was "completely leveled."
