CMU Department of Theatre Arts presents 'James and the Giant Peach' on the main stage at Robinson Theater
Showtimes are September 29, 30, October 1, 6, 7, 8; at 7:30pm
October 2 and 8; Matinees at 2pm

Bow Wow Film Festival at the Avalon Theater
The Bow Wow Film Festival is returning for the second year to the Avalon Theater. After a great first year, the Bow Wow Film Festival is back in Grand Junction. The films this year feature pups as adventure buddies, service dogs, and lifelong pals.

Dog Days Of Summer Sidewalk Sale
Dog Days of Summer Sidewalk Sale is also this weekend! Downtown businesses will be offering specials and deals and some Downtown shops will be donating a portion of their sales to Roice-Hurst Humane Society. During the sidewalk sale. Wag Resort presents the Bow Wow Film Festival at the Historic Avalon Theater on October 1st with showtimes at 2pm & 7pm.

11th Annual Montrose Oktoberfest
The first of two Oktoberfests this weekend is happening in Downtown Montrose starting at 1 p.m. Beer tasting, live music and delicious food with a German flair.

Oktoberfest Colorado is happening at Cottonwood Park in Parachute.
Family Fun 10am-5pm
Brewfest 2pm-5pm
Concerts start at 7pm
Country artist Chase Rice with special guest Mark Wills in concert.

St Nicholas Greek Festival at 12th and Horizon
Food and events happening from 11 am to 7 pm
If Greek is more your style, this annual festival is for you. Greek food and pastries, coffee shop, gifts, books, silent auction, flaming cheese, kids games, church tours greek beer, wine…and ouzo traditional greek dancers.

Walk from Obesity
The Walk From Obesity is coming to Grand Junction this weekend. on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 . Lace up your sneakers and walk with us to raise awareness of the disease of obesity. it is happening at Las Colonias Park from 9:30 to 1:30
This event is presented by St. Mary's Medical Center, Grand Junction, CO.
Registration is $25 per adult, and children under 12 are free with paid parent or guardian. On-site registration is $35. Register online at here.
Proceeds from the Walk from Obesity help the ASMBS Foundation continue to support obesity research, education, and access to treatment.
