Eric Clapton may not just be 'Slowhand' anymore. It appears the singer guitarist is also wanting to slow down and retire from touring. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 67 year old singer, who's preparing for a U.S. tour to promote his new album 'Old Sock,' says, "When I'm 70, I'll stop. I won't stop playing or doing one-offs, but I'll stop touring, I think." Clapton says he enjoys performing but doesn't enjoy the traveling anymore. As he puts it, "If I could [just perform] around my neighborhood, that would be great. You have guys in Texas that play their circuit, and it keeps them alive."

Clapton doesn't have any Colorado dates on his tour schedule, but the tour starts on March 14 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona before heading eastward to Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Clapton's new album 'Old Sock' is set for release March 12.
