We always live with the hope that we won't have to face a great disaster or emergency in the Grand Valley. But that hope does not guarantee that it won't happen. That's why being prepared for such an occurrence is critical. You never know when disaster in some form will strike. Consequently, the Salvation Army is holding Emergency Disaster Services Training on Saturday, April 4.

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) responds to assist the community at fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, as well as search and rescue efforts. The program will cover good basic training in case of a disaster in the community. The training is free, and anyone interested is welcome to participate.
Here's the schedule:

Continental breakfast will be provided

8:00 am – Noon Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services

Noon to 12:30 pm lunch will be provided

12:30 – 4:30 Food handling safety course (afternoon snacks will be provided)
