A passenger flying over Colorado captured this breathtaking photo of a dust storm.

Amanda Wicks was flying from LA to Chicago yesterday (Nov. 10) where she snapped this photo of a haboob and posted it on Twitter.

The cold front that blew through Colorado yesterday -- dropping temps by as much as 50 degrees in some places -- created this large dust storm. This is the same cold front that is causing bitter-cold temperatures across much of the US.

The haboob was so massive, the National Weather Service caught an image of it on one of their satellites:
