Downtown Grand Junction Hosts Battle of the Bands for ‘Record Store Day’

Downtown Grand Junction will celebrate "Record Store Day" by hosting a battle of the bands featuring local artists.

Triple Play Records on Main Street in Grand Junction is hosting this first time event. The "Main Street Battle of the Bands" will take place April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The event is open to 30 acts, each getting a 15-minute set to perform. The winners will be guaranteed a paying gig at the upcoming downtown farmers market and the Grand Junction Arts + Music Festival.
