There are a lot of homeless pets in Grand Junction who need someone to love and care for them. If you can adopt one, that's awesome. If not, 'Dollars for Dogs and Cash for Cats' is a great way to help.

October is national Adopt-A-Shelter Month and you can adopt the Roice-Hurst Humane Society by participating in the 'Dollars for Dogs Cash for Cats' campaign.

Throughout October, you can purchase PAWS at various locations around Grand Junction for a minimum of $1.00. Participating businesses will be listed on the Roice Hurst Humane Society website.

According to the shelter,

All donations to the fall fund drive will help the nonprofit organization continue its 52-year-old mission of providing a safe haven for abandoned and relinquished pets until their 'forever' home is found."

The shelter has information for businesses and groups who want to participate in the fundraising event. Contact Shannon Freed at Roice-Hurst Humane Society at 970-216-5021 to learn more.
