Statistics has shown economic growth on Colorado's Front Range is outpacing that of the Western Slope, but one Colorado city, in particular, is poised for the largest growth in 2015.

According to Forbes, Denver is ranked sixth in their list of the fasted growing cities in the US this year.

Forbes used several criteria in determining the cities with the best opportunities for growth. Those included estimated population growth, year over year job growth, economic growth rate, unemployment data and median annual pay for college educated workers.

This year's list includes;

  1. Houston, Texas
  2. Austin, Texas
  3. Dallas, Texas
  4. Raleigh, N.C.
  5. Seattle, Wash.
  6. Denver, Colo.
  7. San Francisco, Calif.
  8. Fort Worth, Texas
  9. Charlotte, N.C.
  10. San Antonio, Texas

Of interest is five of the Top Ten Cities are all in Texas. Also of note, Salt Lake City, Utah nearly made the Top 10 placing number 12 in the study.
