This experiment reveals the secret behind instantly transforming bottled soda into a delicious ice-cold slushy treat.

The most difficult part of this experiment is getting the soda cold enough to not freeze in the bottle until you open it. Timing is the key and not all freezers are set or work exactly the same way. Figure on somewhere between two and three hours and adjust from there. Once the length of time needed in the freezer is determined, this works really well.

Having an ice-cold glass or bowl to pour the slush into also helps the experiment work better.
