Can you imagine dismantling over 200,000 Christmas lights? The owner of Greeley, Colorado's famous "Greeley Grizwalds" house just spent the day taking down lights, and he has a long way to go.

In this case, Clark W. Girzwalds' real name is Mike Medhurst. Each year he puts up a light show comparable to that seen in Christmas Vacation at his north Greeley home.

According to the Greeley Tribune, Mike spent his Sunday afternoon (January 7) taking down decorations. He estimates it will take the better part of six weeks to get everything put away. Count the number of zeros in the number above. That's two-hundred-thousand!

There is another option. Many Grand Junction residents choose to pursue this one. Why not be the first person in your neighborhood to have your lights UP every year? How do you do this? Simple. Don't take them down. A few of my neighbors do this. Yes, it's tacky for 11 months out of the year. Then again, it saves a lot of work.
