Colorado’s Devil’s Backbone is Perfect Halloween Hike

We doubt the Devil's Backbone is  haunted, but the name certainly suggests it would be the perfect Halloween hike.

The Devil's Backbone Nature Trail is located near Loveland and offers a number of hiking trails for all skill levels. It's also a popular destination for mountain bikers.

We aren't sure if the devil has a backbone, but if he does, this might be what it looks like.

According to AllTrails.com, Devil's Backbone is a 4.4 mile hike with options available for those that would like a longer trek. It's pretty close to town and is a popular hiking spot, so you are likely to encounter quite a bit of hiker traffic.

The recurring theme from hike reviews is that there is no shade on this hike, so it can definitely be on the hot side, so you want to be sure and have plenty of water and snacks. With the cooler temperatures in the fall, this may be the perfect time to experience Devil's Backbone.
