A suspect in connection with a homicide investigation in Adams County has been arrested in Grand Junction.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, it was determined that the suspect, 29 year-old Aaron Gallegos, was in the Grand Junction area and possibly at a residence in the 300 block of Belford Avenue.

After setting up a perimeter around the house with the Grand Junction Police Street Crimes Unit, Western Colorado Drug Task Force, as well as swat teams,  a loud speaker page was aired, prompting Gallegos to exit the premises and surrender without incident. Another person was also detained, but later released.

Gallegos, who is wanted on charges of attempted murder, is being held in the Mesa County Jail pending transport back to Adams County.
