Colorado Mesa University will see most of its athletic teams on this road this weekend, with some teams traveling within Colorado and other teams traveling as far as Texas and Idaho.

Here's this weekend's schedule for CMU sports:

  • Men's Cross Country -- The Mavericks travel to Boulder Saturday to participate in the University of Colorado Invite.
  • Women's Cross Country -- CMU travels to Western State in Gunnison to participate in the Mountaineer Invite
  • Football -- Colorado Mesa's football travels to Kingsville, Texas to play Texas A&M-Kingsville. Game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The game can be heard on EPSN Radio 1230.
  • Men's soccer -- The Mavericks travel to Billings, Montana to play in a pair of games. First game is Friday against San Francisco State (2:00 p.m. game start) and again on Sunday against Montana State University-Billings (also 2:00 p.m. game start).
  • Women's soccer -- Lady Mavs travel to Dallas Baptist University for a pair of games. CMU will play host team Dallas Baptist at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, and then against Angelo State at 12:00 noon Saturday.
  • Volleyball -- CMU travels to Denver this weekend to play in the Colorado Premier Challenge at Regis University. On Friday, the Lady Mavs play #5 University of Central Missouri at 2:30 p.m. and then against host team Regis at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, CMU plays #10 Southwest Minnesota State at 9:30 a.m. and #1 Concordia-St. Paul at 5:00 p.m.
  • Rodeo -- CMU's rodeo team travels to Idaho State University for an event Friday and Saturday.
  • Tennis -- Both men's and women's teams travel to Pueblo for three matches. On Friday, the Mavericks will play Fort Hays State at 3:30 p.m. Then on Saturday, the Mavs will play Nebraska-Kearney at 8:30 a.m. and Texas-Permian Basin at 2:00 p.m.
  • Women's Rugby -- CMU's women's rugby team is the only team to be at home this weekend. The Mavericks will play Colorado College at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Dixson Park.
