The CMU women's basketball team makes it two in a row in the South Central Regional Tournament by defeating the Texas Permian Basin Falcons 78-68 Saturday (March 16) at Brownson Arena.The Mavericks struggled early in the game and on more than on occasion during the first half were tied with the Falcons. Later in the half, the Mavericks managed to get a lead and by halftime were up by nine points.

The Mavericks came back strong in the second half, rallying to a 10 point lead to win the game.

Kesley Sigl, who was benched for the last several minutes of the game due to personal fouls tied with Katrina Selsor as the top scorers for the Mavericks with 17 points each. Sharaya Selsor scored 14 points for the Mavs.

The Mavericks will host Midwestern State in the South Central Regional Final Monday night 7:00 p.m. at Brownson Arena at Colorado Mesa University.
