It's the final weekend of the regular season, and the Colorado Mesa men's basketball team is hoping to climb in the standings as they wrap up on the road against Adams State and Fort Lewis.

The Mavericks have already clinched a spot in next week's RMAC Shootout. What remains to be determined is who and where they will play their opening game.

Heading into the weekend,  the Mavericks are tied for the #7 spot in the conference with Adams State with a record of 11-9. Colorado Christian currently sits in the #4 slot at 13-8, and there is a fifth place tie with Fort Lewis and CSU Pueblo at 12-8.

The top three spots in the RMAC are wrapped up with 20-0 Metro in first place, Colorado Mines at 18-3 in second place, and UC- Colorado Springs solidly in third place. The conference tournament will be seeded with #1 vs #8, #2 vs #7, #3 vs #6, and #4 vs #5. The top 8 teams have all been decided, but the exact order of finish will be determined this weekend. The top four teams will play their RMAC Quarterfinal game at home.

The Mavericks have won three games in a row and five of their last 6 games. Earlier in the season, the Mavericks beat Adams State 75-73, and Fort Lewis 93-67. CMU ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage at 49.9 percent.
