Seems crazy that it has to be said, but there is no truth to the rumor that McDonald's restaurants in Colorado are becoming pot smoking centers.

This is nothing but fake news, reportedly perpetuated by the Now8News website, which specializes in sensational and incredibly fake news stories.

According to FOX 31, the story indicated that each restaurant would contain 15 pods where people could smoke marijuana without bothering other customers.

McDonald's has confirmed the story, which began circulating in 2015, is not true.

Yes, Colorado was the first state in the nation to legalize recreational pot and we have yet to see the full extent to which marijuana may become a part of the Colorado culture, but you can be assured that McDonald's restaurants are not going be a hub for recreational users.

Pot clubs are likely to become commonplace in Colorado, but the Hamburglar is not going to be leading the charge.
