5K Fundraisers certainly are not unusual, but the Color Dash 5K is a rather unusual way to raise money for Partners of Mesa County. It's a fun, colorful fundraiser.
The Color Dash 5k is a non-competitive fun-run - which may or may not involve running. Each participant gets a white t-shirt at registration and at various points along the course finds themselves doused in an array of colors. At the end of the run, each runner has a very unique t-shirt that will serve as a reminder of the fun they had, and that they helped make a difference in the lives of young people in Mesa County.
The event sounds like a lot of fun. In fact, I'm thinking of entering multiple times so I can get more shirts. I've been wanting to expand my wardrobe with some colorful selections.
The Partners Color Dash is Saturday, July 25th at Canyon View Park. Registration begins at 7am and the run starts at 9. You can register the day of or on line at cd5k.com.
By the way, another cool way to support Partners, is by attending the Hazel Miller concert on August 1st at Grande River Vineyards. Tickets are $20 and available at Roper Music, Fisher's Liquor Barn, Grande River Vineyards, and Mesa County Partners.
