Colorado Mesa University’s women’s basketball team is continuing their winning streak in hopes of making a second consecutive trip to the Elite 8.

The Lady Mavericks won their South Central Regional semifinal game 66-44 over Tarleton State Saturday in Canyon, Texas. The Mavericks are now 30-1 on the season with Head Coach Taylor Wagner at 61-3 in his two seasons at the helm.

The win advances CMU to the championship game scheduled for Monday at 6:00 p.m. (Grand Junction time).

In Monday's South Central Regional championship, the CMU women will play West Texas A&M, who won their semifinal game 79-66 over St. Mary's.
