CMU Student Accused of Wanting to Kill President Obama Wanted to ‘Go Down in History’

The CMU student that is accused of conspiring to kill President Obama apparently learned how to shoot an assault rifle at a Grand Junction firing range. See what else the twenty year old had to say.

The CMU student has been identified as twenty year old Mitchell Kenneth Kusick of Westminster and is being held under suspicion to assassinate the president.

According to KREX, offiicials say Kusick told his therapist that he wanted to shoot children, kill people on Halloween and go down in history for killing President Obama.

According to the arrest affidavit, Kusick planned to shoot and kill students at Standley Lake High School in Westminster and detailed his fascination with the Aurora theater shooting.

CMU has confirmed that Kusick is still a registered student taking online classes, and says it's taking precautions to protect the safety of the students and staff.

A hearing is scheduled for Friday.
