The Colorado Mesa  University homecoming weekend is a pretty cool time, even if you are not a CMU alum. While the significance of the weekend may be different for CMU students and grads, it has become an event that anyone in Western Colorado can enjoy.

It all starts on Friday, October 25th with the Victory Dinner and Bonfire Bash at the University Center Ballroom. The evening features a delicious dinner, a sponsored beer and wine bar, and live music by Ralph Dinosaur and the Fabulous Volcanoes.

On Saturday October 26th the Steak and Crab Fest will be held o the east lawn of Houston Hall from 11am-3pm. This is an extremely popular event featuring all you can eat steak and crab for $50.

Then the annual homecoming football game will take place at 1:00 against Colorado School of Mines. Mines is a very good football team and would like nothing more than to spoil the CMU celebration. A stadium packed with Mavericks fans could go a long way toward aiding a hometown victory.

There will be class and athletic reunions as well as other events during the week. For a complete schedule and to purchase tickets you can go to the CMU website.

KOOL 107.9 is giving away a great prize pack that includes two tickets to the Victory Dinner, Steak and Crab Fest, and the homecoming football game. Register to win here.  You don't have to be a CMU grad or alum to enjoy this hometown event.
