It took two games to complete the job Sunday at Suplizio Field, but the Colorado Mesa University’s baseball team pulled it out by defeating Texas A&M-Kingsville to win the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament and earning a trip to the NCAA Division II World Series.

Finals in both games were won by a single run, with Texas A&M winning the first game 9-8 and Colorado Mesa winning the second game 7-6. In the second game, Texas A&M scored two runs in the ninth inning and had the bases loaded but Matt Allen came on to get the final two outs and secure the win.
