Celebrity Birthday For February 14 — Magician Teller

Teller, the shorter quiet member of illusionist team Penn and Teller, is celebrating his 65th birthday today (Feb 14). In this classic video, the guys perform a magic trick and then reveal how the trick is done. While many illusionists keep their tricks a secret, Penn and Teller have found that sometimes the reveal is more entertaining than the actual trick.

It's a common known fact that Penn, is Penn Jillette. But what is Teller's full name? He's changed it legally to just Teller, but his birth name is Raymond Joseph Teller.

And why does he remain silent and leave all the talking to Penn Jillette? The silence started early in his career when he was performing at college fraternity parties. He found that remaining silent during the act reduced the amount of heckling and beer thrown at him as the audience was more focused on the performance. Teller admits there are times during Penn and Teller shows he does speak, but it's almost always while his face is covered or obscured.
