I spoke to a representative of Colorado State Patrol at 7:40 this morning and was informed that a gas tanker rolled at approximately 12:30 am on Hwy 50.

The NJCAA JUCO World Series kicks off this Saturday at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction Colorado and the teams have just been announced. We are seeing some teams return to the tournament and also seeing some new faces to the JUCO World Series

Just stop by the Advanced Medicine Pavilion, across from St. Mary’s on Patterson, between 7am and 5:30pm Monday through Friday or on Saturdays from 7am to Noon and roll up your sleeve. The pint of blood you donate could save up to three lives and you get a JUCO World Series ticket.

Tonight for Dinner and a Movie at the Avalon Theatre “The Bridge on the River Kwai” staring William Holden and Alec Guinness (he played Obi-Wan Kenobi) in Star Wars. This 1957 war movie won seven Oscars and deals with the situation of British prisoners of war during World War II who are ordered to build a bridge to accommodate the Burma-Siam railway. At first the British won’t build the bridge and bravely endures torture. Then they are persuaded that the bridge should be constructed as a symbol of British morale, spirit and dignity in adverse circumstances. Unknown to the British, the Americans have sent a mission into the jungle to blow up the bridge.
